    The marriage took place at the Kew Beach Presbyterian Church of Miss Nettie Gardner of Queenslie, 38 Hammersmith Avenue, Toronto, to William R. Campbell, of the editorial staff of the Globe.  The ministers officiating were:  Rev. R. B. Cochrane of College Street Presbyterian and Rev. J. A. Cranston, of Kew Beach Presbyterian churches.  The bride was charming in white Canton crepe, point lace, with veil to match and carried a bouquet of American beauty roses.  Miss Rita Gardner, a sister, was bridesmaid and Lillian, another sister, flower girl.  Mr. J. W. Gardner, a brother, acted as best man.  The happy couple left last night for border cities and on their return will live at 13 Hammersmith Avenue.

    A pretty wedding was solemnized at St. David’s Presbyterian church, Harvie Ave., when Annie Craig, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gardner, was united in marriage to Mr. George Forbes, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Forbes, Rosemount Place, Aberdeen, Scotland, Rev. N. L. Stevenson officiating.  The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory silk lace with wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley.  Miss Lillian Mary, sister of the bride, was a charming bridesmaid, attired in mauve mohair and bouquet of talisman roses with streamers of wide gold ribbon and wore a gold and amethyst ring, the gift of the groom.  The two small flower girls, Margaret Hillis and Margaret Campbell, nieces of the bride, were dressed in Nile green crepe de chine and carried baskets of pink sweet peas and rosebuds and wore gold signet rings, gifts from the groom.  The duties of the groomsman were ably carried out by Mr. W. E. Prentice of Belleville.  Miss Ross supplied the wedding music and during the signing of the register Mr. J. Greiveson sang “My World.”  After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, 237 Laughton Ave.  Later in the evening the couple left for Montreal and on their return will make their home at 133 Caledonia Rd.

    Patterson Presbyterian church was the scene of a pretty wedding Sept. 4, when Lillian Mary Gardner, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Gardner, Rogers Rd., became the bride of Reginald Lewis Biggs, formerly of London, England.  Rev. J. C. Herbison officiated; Miss Pat Boal played wedding music; Mrs. Gilbert W. Gardner, the bride’s sister-in-law, sang.  The church was decorated with palms, ferns and gladioli.  The bride, given away by her father, wore an ivory satin gown with fingertip veil, and carried a cascade of pink roses and white heather in the form of a horseshoe sent from Edinburgh, Scotland.  The bridal attendants, Miss Betty Fisher and Miss Ann Newall, were gowned alike in delphinium blue crepe with matching hats.  They carried colonial bouquets of red roses, delphinium and white heather.  W. Taylor was best man; ushers were Douglas and Gordon Campbell, the bride’s nephews.  At a reception in Malloney’s Art Galleries, the bride’s mother received wearing a black lace dress, matching accessories and corsage of crimson roses.  Assisting was Mrs. W. Taylor wearing lime green crepe dress, black accessories and corsage of pink roses and delphinium.  For the wedding trip to points north, the bride donned a chartreuse crepe dress, navy accessories, stone marten furs and corsage of pink roses.  The couple will live on Juliet Cres., Toronto.
