DEATHS
GARDNER, William James Jack (Jimmy) – Suddenly in Mississauga on Wednesday, July 18, 1990, Jimmy, beloved son of Bill and Jackie. Dear brother of Michael and Allison. Loving grandson of Alice Ashcroft of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Jimmy will always be remembered by his many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the NEWEDUK FUNERAL HOME, MISSISSAUGA CHAPEL, 1981 Dundas St. W. (one block east of Erin Mills Parkway) from Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, leaving the funeral home 9:30 a.m. to St. Stephen’s on-the-Hill United Church (998 Indian Rd., Mississauga) for Service at 10 a.m. Interment Springcreek Cemetery. In memory of Jimmy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Teen cyclist dies falling under truck
A teenaged Mississauga cyclist died when he fell under the rear wheels of a tractor-trailer. William Gardner, 13, of Chriseden Drive is the second cyclist killed in a traffic accident in Peel in the last three days. He was riding with a friend on a paved shoulder of Southdown Rd., south toward Royal Windsor Drive, at about 1:30 p.m. yesterday when he appeared to lose control.
