Mr., Mrs. Edward Morris Piped from Church Door

Two pipers of the 48th Highlanders piped Mr. and Mrs. Edward Robert Morris from Earlscourt United church following their recent wedding.  The bride was the former Joan Elda Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert W. Gardner, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Morris.  Rev. Carman Hie officiated.  Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of off-white satin, fashioned with a lace yoke, long sleeves and pointed peplum.  The full skirt was caught to a slight bustle at the back.  A silk-embroidered headdress held her long veil of net and she carried white roses and gladioli.  Mrs. Harold Heron, West Hill, wore light green satin and bridesmaids Mrs. Lockesley Job and Beverley Morton, Toronto, were in rose pink satin.  They wore matching Dutch hats and carried pink gladioli petals.  Mary Lou Biggs was flower girl in green satin.  Groomsman was Gilbert Morris, Leamington, and ushers were Lockesley F. Job and Herold Heron, West Hill.  The bride’s mother received in pearl gray crepe with navy blue accessories and corsage of pink roses.  The mother of the groom assisted in powder blue crepe with black accessories and red roses.
