PARSONS - FORBES

Willowdale, Dec. 8 – Rev. Alexander McLean officiated in Willowdale Presbyterian church for the marriage of Barbara Anne Forbes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Forbes, to James Harold Parsons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Parsons.  Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of chalk white Italian lily of valley brocade with a picture neckline and bouffant skirt falling into a cathedral train.  A bandeau of sequins and pearls held her veil of tulle illusion and she carried gardenias, pink roses and stephanotis. Matron of honor was Mrs. Jeanne Marie Huffman and bridesmaids were Judy Field, Kay Stinson and Sandra Parsons.  Mary Lou Biggs and Dorothy Lisk were junior bridesmaids.  They wore long velvet dresses of rust green and autumn gold with matching feather headbands and carried yellow and bronze mums.  The groomsman was Douglas Parsons and ushers were Donald Evans, Dave Todd and Bill Forbes.  Receiving at St. Andrew’s Golf and Country club, the bride wore peacock blue taffeta with a corsage of pink roses and the groom’s mother assisted in plum taffeta with pink carnations.
